As part of the IGP’s commitment to reform the NPF ICT, the force organized a 10-day extensive ICT capacity-building training for selected IT specialists within the force. The training took place at the Police staff college Jos, Plateau state with Xerde limited as the facilitators.

The program commenced with a course on design thinking facilitated by the Managing Director/Chief Technical Officer of Xerde limited, Khadijat Abdulkadir. This was an essential foundation course to build participants to think innovatively and be creative in problem-solving.

The participants were trained in areas of network security management, database management and administration, software development, cyber security, and vulnerability assessment testing.

Participants were required to take a final assessment after training to determine their level of competence.

All students were given a 60-hour course completion certificate. Selected candidates from the examination phase will be further trained in preparation for the international security certification.
